That's My World!---Squaw Creek NWR

Can you imagine 1.6 million Snow geese in one place, at one time?

I paid a visit to Squaw Creek NWR last Wednedsday, and that was the estimated count for the day.

Imagine if you can, driving for more than a mile and this is what you see.

There were constantly geese in the air as well the geese in the water.

The din from the geese was phenomenal. My dawg that normally snoozes in her bed in the back seat was sitting up and staring out the window. One really wishes at times like that you could read the doggy mind.

Take a tour around the world via you computer by visiting That's My World!

wow! that place is a favorite among the geese. Your dog must be thinking that they could be his playmates? :)

My goodness, they are thick as thieves! A wonderful sight. How do they find enough food for so many, do they practice the miracle of the loaves and the fishes?

I usually wish I could read Tonka's mind. Because sometimes I swear he can read mine.

But I think if he saw this he'd be thinking "What the flock?"

Can't imagine the uproar... worse than a political convention I bet.

Wow so many birds, I am sure they would be deafening.

It's overwhelmingly beautiful, isn't it? I saw a flock of several thousand once in Maryland, but that's nothing compared to this.
