These photos were taken at Brazoria NWR. Brazoria was one of the refuges that was damaged during Hurricane Ike. According to the sign at the closed visitor center, things were beginning to come back. The day I spent there, there seemed to be a nice variety of birds.

I love it! They are just the cutest!
I am so jealous of all the folks who post pictures of reddish egrets. I've never seen one. I live in SW Florida and I think I've seen every other kind of water fowl including some that only winter here, but never the reddish egret! Well, maybe someday I will get lucky.
